Today I got a deviantart note of a person saying they wanted to use my art for merchandise in a Hetalia day event.

It makes me very happy that people consider my art enough to make merchandise and stuff, but I'm actually against the idea of people using third parties fanarts for merchandise. I'm sorry. It's not only about me but also of similar fanartists. If it were possible I wouldn't like it.

I'm glad that person asked me this, but I cannot allow it since I'm against the very idea. My art can be find in this page or tumblr for anyone to see it. If it were possible I would like to avoid using signatures above the art since I know how difficult its to appreciate the art in that way

If perhaps some day I use my own for merchandise I will tell you (once I've gotten confident enough for high quality art)

Thanks for reading!

About fanart/fancomics sharing

Well I dont actually know if someone might be interested in sharing my fanart in any other website or tumblr. But if you are, I actually feel ok with it. As long as you dont claim they of your own please, I will be very mad if I found someone is actually doing this. I dont like fanart thiefs on instead. If you could link to this site (devianart) or to my pixiv account I would REALLY apreciate but I'll understand if you dont. I have some of my fanart shared on tumblr and I actually think it's kind of cute. So I'm just posting this to let you know that I'm totally ok about it so you don't need to ask to do it.

As always comments make very happy!

Well, if your fan art is based on licensed characters that you don't own and didn't get permission from the owner, even though you made your own drawings of them, you really couldn't sell them yourself or give permission for someone else to because it would still be copyright/trademark infringement. I realize some people still do this anyway, and some of them get away with it, some get caught, but it is illegal if the owner didn't give permission to do it, so I'm glad you made the right decision.
